Hand Painted Furniture

Back in the 80’s when it became fashionable to paint furniture with special paint effects I brushed up on my creative skills and joined in.  It was great fun transforming an otherwise uninteresting piece of furniture into something more attractive and, I suppose it was the beginning of re-cycling.  Now called up-cycling.

Since then styles have altered and even though painted furniture is still very much admired this time around, forty years on rather than marbling, rag rolling and stippling the trend is to paint flowers and animals or suchlike.
